We are finally here, and the anticipation level is at an all-time high for this year’s Royal Rumble. The WWE has done an excellent job building up this year’s event, which kicks off WrestleMania season. Are we going to get any surprises that will create an insane pop inside Tropicana Field in Tampa, FL? Will John Cena make a surprise entrance? Will we see a new undisputed champion, with Roman Reigns being defeated in the fatal four-way? Is Logan Paul going to keep riding this massive momentum wave he is on with a great worker like Kevin Owens? All questions that look to be answered tonight.

Women’s Royal Rumble Match
1. Â Natalya & 2. was Naomi who was formerly known as Trinity, made her surprise return. Naomi was filled with emotions as she makes her return after circling some of the indie promotions while away from the WWE. 3. Bayley- She enters the ring and immediately goes after Natalya then focuses on Naomi. Natalya then takes control of the match. Â 4. Candice LeRae -After entering the ring, LeRae makes little impact and the crowd isn’t reacting that much to her offense.
5. Jordynne Grace (TNA Knockouts Champion)- made her surprise entrance into the Royal Rumble. The Forbidden door has been cracked open. She goes in and powers her way through all of the women. 6. Indi Hartwell. 7. Asuka- Bayley and Asuka team up to get on the other women. Hartwell is the first to be eliminated. 8. Ivy Nile 9. Katana Chance 10. Bianca Belair 11. Kairi Sane 12. Tegan Nox 13. Kayden Carter- Damage Control were dominating the Rumble until they were eliminated one by one except for Bayley. 14. Chelsea Green 15. Piper Niven 16. Xia Li
17. Selina Vega 18. Maxxine Dupri 19. Nia Jax 20. Shotzi 21. Becky Lynch 22. Alba Fyre 23. Shayna Baszler 24. Valhalla 25. Michin 26. Zoey Stark 27. Roxanne Perez 28. Jade Cargill- Huge pop as she makes her debut and she eliminates Nia Jax. 29. Tiffany Stratton 30. Liv Morgan.
It comes down to Bayley, Liv Morgan & Jade Cardgill. Morgan eliminates Cardgill and Bayley eliminates Morgan making her the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble.
Winner: Bayley Grade: B+
Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight
Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles immediately jumped on Roman Reigns. After a few punches and kicks, the match separated as Orton took on Reigns while Styles battled LA Knight. All four wrestlers went outside of the ring, and each slammed each other on the commentator’s table. The match then focused on Orton vs. Reigns in the middle of the ring. Orton was having his way as Reigns could not get going.
After rolling out of the ring, Orton started to beat up Styles, but then LA Knight rolled into the ring and started to overwhelm Orton with his offense. Reigns would recover and begin to dictate the match’s pace by having his way with LA Knight. Styles would come into the match, but Reigns continued his dominance.
Styles does the Styles clash on Reigns, but LA Knight broke up the cover. This was after LA Knight did a BFT on Reigns. Orton then does an RKO on Styles, LA Knight, and Reigns. Just as Orton was going to win, Solo Sikoa pulled the referee out of the ring. He goes into the ring and knocks down all three opponents. Reigns tried to cover all three, but Orton kicked out of the pin.
Roman Reigns spears Styles and pins him to retain the undisputed world title.
Winner: Roman Reigns Grade: B
WWE United States Championship: Logan Paul (c) vs. Kevin Owens
Although Jake Paul extended his hand to Kevin Owens at the start of the match, Owens ignored it and jumped all over Paul. Owens threw Paul to the outside and started to work on him. He would throw Paul back into the ring and go for a cover, but the referee only reached the count of two. Paul would then take control of the fight and take Owens outside, where he would slam his injured right hand to the ring post.
Owens would then execute a frog splash, but the slight hesitation to cover Paul led to Paul kicking out at two. Paul would then closeline Owens and execute a frog splash but couldn’t get the three count over Owens. After some reversals, Paul hits Owens with the big right hand, but Owens kicks out of the pin.
Austin Theory comes down to the ring and passes Paul some brass knuckles to hit Owens. Instead, Owens grabs the brass knuckles and hits Paul, but when he covers him, the referee sees the brass knuckles and disqualifies Owens.
Winner: Logan Paul Grade: C+
Men’s Royal Rumble Match
1. Jey Uso and 2. was Jimmy Uso which was a huge surprise to everyone in the arena. 3. Grayson Waller 4. Andrade- he received a huge pop as he’s been with AEW for the last couple of years. 5. Carmelo Hayes 6. Shinsuke Nakamura 7. Santos Escobar 8. Karrion Kross 9. Dominik Mysterio 10. Carlito 11. Bobby Lashley 12. Ludwig Kaiser 13. Austin Theory 14. Finn Balor 15. Cody Rhodes 16. Bronson Reed 17. Kofi Kingston 18. Gunther 19. Ivar 20. Bron Brreaker 21. Omos 22. Pat McAfee 23. JD McDonough 24. R-Truth- doing the John Cena moves got the biggest pop of the night. 25. The Miz 26. Damian Priest 27. CM Punk 28. Ricochet 29. Drew McIntyre 30. Sami Zayn
The last four was Rhodes, Punk, Gunther and McIntyre then Punk eliminated McIntyre. Rhodes eliminates Gunther and then it was down to Rhodes and Punk. Â Rhodes grabs Punk and throws him over the top rope after about a 20 minute back and forth to win the Royal Rumble.
Winner: Cody Rhodes Grade: B+
