With the early 1 pm ET/ 10 am PT start time States side, the AEW All-In event in London at the famous Wembley Stadium needs to be an undeniable show. The booking has to feel like the premiere show it has been promoted as. The card needs to be launched strategically based on initial ticket sales—it is tough to top the 40,000 initial tickets sold. Yet, AEW is on track to surpass industry expectations of 50,000 in attendance by expanding their setup on the “hard cam upper deck side” to accommodate 53,000 plus (WrestleTix).
Swerve Strickland (c) vs. ‘The American Dragon’ Bryan Danielson (AEW World Championship)- Career vs. Title
Prediction: Danielson is not going anywhere
It felt all but certain—with the buzz surrounding 2024 being the final year of ‘full-time’ Danielson, it made sense for someone with his loyalty to the company and knowledge of the product to ‘pass the torch’ to the most deserving (like Robin Williams at the end of Hook leaving the golden sword with the ‘Lost Boy’ he deemed most worthy and capable of leading the charge in his stead). Yet, something felt off about the entire program with Danielson’s willingness to ‘give away the booking’ because he is so tapped in as a genuine wrestling fan and knows how to keep us on our toes by remaining ten steps ahead of us all. This week, on the go-home show, the ‘Return of the Dragon’ happened, and it is difficult to sell the idea that the best wrestler on the planet is beatable when he doubles down on the most unbeatable version of himself—oh yeah, and the stakes are ALL THE WAY UP.
We have been told that Bryan is winding down, and this year would be his final full-time role, but the year is not over, and it could be argued that these next few months are the most important for the company since the first few months of launch. Who better than Bryan to hold the title leading into the deal’s announcement as he attempts to elevate a world championship? Swerve has helped redefine it following the company’s most detrimental months of existence.

MJF(c) vs. Will Ospreay (AEW American Championship)
Prediction: MJF wins
Of all the things said about Tony Khan and MJF, no one disputes the contract Khan gave MJF as money well spent because it was as close as a wrestling promoter gets to signing his quarterback to a long-term deal following his rookie season. MJF is not just one of the best players on the team; he is also the best concession stand/merch salesman, PR, HR, and marketing strategist for the team. In the lead-up to this match, he has put in the kind of promo work that would result in abs—if a marketing campaign could be jacked, MJF’s appearances on popular English wrestling channels and the high-level work he displayed on a card for one of the best indie promotions ‘across the pond’ would result in a physique somewhere between Rambo and Van Damme (Not RVD, But see what I did?).
It will be unfortunate when Ospreay loses yet again on the big stage, but if this year serves as nothing else but proof that Will can carry the card, then you must consider the magnitude of his 2025 campaign once his dues are paid and loyalty towards the company is undisputed. But the heat MJF will get makes it worth it.
Toni Storm(c) vs. Mariah May (AEW Women’s World Championship)
Prediction: Duh… As in, you’re Duh-mb if you think Storm is losing
If wrestling scribes are writing about Mariah May winning the AEW women’s title after Sunday, then it will be a mere afterthought to the fact that Vince McMahon bought AEW and started booking immediately. To suggest that Storm should be considered a huge ‘favourite’ is justifiable, but it also unjustly serves a false narrative reflecting May’s abilities. Storm has the momentum and the crowd going into the defense of her 281-day reign (on Sunday) as champ, and the idea of concluding her reign in a feud that felt like an afterthought on the All In ‘Go-home’ episode of “Dynamite” is as illogical as the choice in where to end it.
Jack Perry(c) V Darby Allin (AEW TNT Championship)- Coffin Match
Prediction: Perry wins, Sting appears
For all the criticism Darby gets, nobody can question his commitment to the fans, nor can his contributions to AEW’s most memorable PPV moments ever be in doubt. Allin will certainly go all in (pun intended, and it spells his name), but he will have to do so in a way that is different from his very physical ‘Coffin Match’ with Brody King.
Perry is getting the win in this match, but he’s got to deliver a ‘Jungle MAN’ performance. Fortunately for Perry, he will have one of the most generous (maybe over giving) opponents in the entire company. News has been circulating that Sting has made the trip to London, but there is no guarantee he is there to perform. That said, if he is making a cameo then this match makes the most sense for it.
Mercedes Mone(c) vs. Britt Baker (AEW TBS Championship)
Prediction: Mone beats Britt
It could be suggested that this match would have been better served as the main event of a majorly promoted card in Cali or Philly, but a match of this extent will certainly receive its flowers in front of a crowd made up of mostly English wrestling fans. There was some genuine tension in the ring this past Wednesday, but the narrative of ‘the one brought in to save the division’ facing off against ‘the one that has kept it alive’ has only recently started to hit. The match belongs on the ‘company’s biggest card’ of the year, but Mone and Baker are in the unfortunate position of competing against each other while simultaneously finding a way to stay competitive against the card’s competing narratives.
The Young Bucks (c) vs. FTR vs. The Acclaimed (AEW World Tag Team Championship)- Triple Threat Tag Team Match
Prediction: The Young Bucks win; Matt and Nick take the credit.
At the time of this writing, there is some uncertainty about the nature of this match and whether it will be a tornado or triple threat style with only one legal man from each of the three teams in the ring at once. There will be spots, that’s for sure, but the luster of the AEW tag titles and its division has greatly diminished from the company’s early days. In the company’s first PPVs, the tag title match, and The Young Bucks match for that matter, felt more important and rightfully billed as one of the card’s bright spots (no pun intended this time). Now, this match feels lost in the historic rivalries between all three teams separately. If the match is booked with the intention of producing the most ruckus crowd reaction, then you put over The Acclaimed, but the card will have to strategically pick where it sends fans home happy and where it continues long-term booking.
The Patriarchy(c) vs. Bang Bang Gang vs. House of Black vs. TBA (AEW Trios Championship)- London Ladders Match
Prediction: HOB is finally realized
The fourth team in this match will be determined before the show, as several currently unknown teams will compete to fill the spot. Interim EVP Christopher Daniels made this stipulation as an answer to Christian Cage’s efforts to keep the field thin; thus, his title reign supreme. The match is quite balanced, so there is no need to infuse a high-fly specialist team or a triple beef burger, and a combination would fit the motif. This feels like it’s HOB’s time, especially after the likely departure of the team that was the ‘favorite’ to win before being completely removed from the equation.

Chris Jericho(c) vs. Hook (FTW Championship)- If HOOK loses, he can never challenge Jericho for the title again
Prediction: Jericho retains, Tazz says FTW stands for F’ the Wizard
Jericho continues to tread the line between ‘go-home heat’ and booking brilliance in a way only a wrestling genius can, but the motivation within the storyline feels lost. Hook should get the title back, but when he fails, then let it be because it is time to see him perform up the next rung of the ladder.
Casino Gauntlet Match
Prediction: A returning Kenny Omega surprises everyone, including his opponents, as he rolls up Okada for the win, setting up his eventual return
More names are rumored than confirmed at this point, but there are plenty of theories. Fan bookings run the gamut from ‘Hangman’ Page winning and cashing in on Swerve that night to Okada being ‘placed on deck.’ If this match is to be AEW’s version of the Royal Rumble, where surprise bookings are everything, then it will need major returns like Jay White, debuts like Ricochet/King Puma, and major surprise entrants like Bobby Lashley or MVP. This has real potential, but the complicated nature of booking a match with so many moving parts keeps its place on the card a genuine mystery. As for the prediction, even a limited Omega could stand a run-in, rollup victory without cheating the fans of a match filled with action. He can hold the “title opportunity” without risking coming back too soon to set up storylines.
