AEW Revolution 2025: How To Watch, Preview & Predictions

It’s AEW Revolution Day, and the pay-per-view event streams live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. As AEW has done with almost all of their PPVs, the card is stacked with some intriguing matchups, and FightsATW gives you a preview of all the scheduled matches.

Jon Moxley vs. Cope-AEW World Championship

The main event of the PPV is for the AEW world title, which sees the champion, Jon Moxley, facing off against Cope (Adam Copeland). Although the run of the Moxley-led faction, The Death Riders, has had its highs and lows, the one consistent thing is its leader and the performances behind it. The only issue is that there hasn’t been anything new added to the storyline, making this match highly anticipated, as it could be the moment when Moxley and his crew are taken to the next level.

Cope has had a tremendous second run, but at this point in his career, is he fit to take the top spot and give it a go? This could be the moment he does beat Moxley, but it is short-lived as his longtime friend & rival Christian still has that contract for a title match and could cash it in later tonight. All of this is building towards a fantastic finish in LA.

Prediction: Cope & then Christian cashes in and wins

Konosuke Takeshita vs Kenny Omega-AEW International Championship

The Takeshita vs. Omega match will deliver big, especially for those who have followed these two throughout the indie circuit and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). The tension between the two has been building ever since Omega made his grand return to wrestling in January after being out most of 2024 with an injury (diverticulitis) that could have ended his wrestling career.

This match appears to be a premier one-off match as Omega is destined for much bigger things after missing a considerable amount of time, or is he? Omega’s contract is nearing its expiration date later this year, so how this match ends could be a peek into Omega’s potential decision in the future. Regardless, this is a can’t-miss match.

Prediction: Kenny Omega

“Timeless” Toni Storm vs Mariah May-AEW Women’s World Championship

This rivalry has delivered nothing but high-level matches throughout the times they have faced each other. Storm is arguably the best women’s wrestler in AEW, and May has quickly become one of the best young wrestlers coming up.

Has this rivalry already hit its ceiling, and do we see a new storyline created for one or both after tonight’s match? Does May win the title tonight, and will the story continue between the two ladies, leading to something bigger at next month’s AEW Dynasty?

Prediction: Toni Storm

Mercedes Mone vs Momo Watanabe-TBS Championship

Out of all of the matches on AEW Revolution, this one has the least interesting story behind it. Mone has been a dominant force, but she hasn’t been in a story that has allowed her to tap into the superstar qualities everyone knows she possesses. This may be the quickest match of the night, but what will be more interesting is seeing where Mone goes from here.

Prediction: Mercedes Mone

Swerve Strickland vs Ricochet

This match may be one of the most anticipated non-title matches of the night. The storyline has been decent leading into Sunday’s PPV, but the match itself will be highly anticipated. Ricochet is a top-level wrestler, and Swerve has been proven to adapt to any style and raise the level of his opponent. The storyline will take on a new meaning, and it feels like they have only scratched the surface where they can take it.

Prediction: Ricochet

MJF vs “Hangman” Adam Page

This match has benefited from a great leadup, with both veterans showing why they are a top-tier talent with the promos they have cut in the last few weeks. MJF has once again made his role as a heel levels above what anyone could imagine with Page being on the other side of the rivalry. There is a feeling that this rivalry will end tonight, and both men will be on different paths. MJF could be world-title-bound, while Page could get himself into a storyline with Omega or Moxley.

Prediction: MJF

Will Ospreay vs Kyle Fletcher –Steel Cage Match

Hopefully, AEW will not put Ospreay vs. Fletcher first because if they do, good luck with trying to follow it. These two wrestlers have put on banger matches, and there is no doubt they will take it to another level, being that it is a steel cage match. Fletcher has been haunting Ospreay for the last few weeks, and this storyline continues to get bigger and better. The cage match is the perfect climax for this rivalry and look for it to be the match of the night.

Prediction: Will Ospreay

The Hurt Syndicate vs. The Outrunners

The Outrunners is one of the more popular tag teams in AEW amongst the fans. They have this throwback/nostalgic look and vibe about them that just connects with the fans. Also, they are a helluva tag team inside the ring. They have worked so hard to make it to the position they are in within the company.

The Hurt Syndicate made a splash at first, but they haven’t had much impact outside of winning the tag titles. Although everyone will want The Outrunners to come out victorious, The Hurt Syndicate will likely win the match and get themselves involved in another match throughout the night, which will spark a new storyline for the faction led by MVP.

Prediction: The Hurt Syndicate
