Mike Tyson (50-7-2, 44 KOs) would decimate Daniel Cormier (22-3-1, 10 KOs) in a street fight, according to Aljamain Stirling (24-5, 3 KOs).
‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ recently made a comeback to the ring for a highly anticipated showdown against Jake Paul, albeit unsuccessfully. Meanwhile, DC was last seen in UFC 252 in 2020, where he lost to Stipe Miocic, following which he announced his retirement. Many members of the combat sports world have contemplated about the possibility of DC beating Tyson in a fight. However, in Stirling’s words, that scenario might be far from true.
While talking on the FunkMasterMMA YouTube channel, the topic of a Tyson vs DC street fight came up. And Stirling was sure to mention that unless DC gets to Tyson’s legs, ‘Iron’ Mike is certain to dominate.
“I’m torn because if ‘DC’ can get to his legs first, then he kills him, but again, if they square up, and Tyson starts moving, that’s scary. I don’t think you understand how quick, how devastating Tyson was in his prime. I just don’t think there are any guys as vicious as Tyson was in his prime. It’s a very compelling argument,” he said.
Stirling stated that unless DC can manage to get Tyson to the ground, he is in the line of danger from Tyson’s devastating bare knuckles. It should be mentioned that Tyson started fighting on the streets as a young teenager before becoming a boxer. “Even if DC shoots, he’s running into a punch, bare-knuckle. And yeah, he might grab him after that, but it might hit him on the chin, where it’s like, ‘My legs don’t work like they used to before’”, he said. “I can see it going either way. I can see Tyson killing him and I can see DC killing him.”
“It Depends Where”
Meanwhile, Stirling also believes that the location where the fight happens will play a major role in how the street fight would end.
I think context of where this street fight is taking place matters. In a bar? In the literal streets? Is Tyson rocking Timbs or got on som Sike’s? It depends where for me! https://t.co/hqKBcJDScZ

Chase Hooper recently reposted a tweet about the potential street fight and trashed those taking Tyson’s side. He mentioned that people who believe that Tyson would beat Cormier were the very same individuals who thought that he outbox a far younger Paul. Stirling was quick to respond by saying that the context of where the fight takes place is important. “In a bar? In the literal streets? Is Tyson rocking Timbs or got on some Sike’s? It depends where for me!” he said.
