Amanda Serrano: ‘This Is Truly One of The Highest Moments in My Life And My Career’

Women’s unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano (49-4-1, 32 KOs) will defend her titles against Lucrecia Manzur (14-4, 7 KOs) on Friday as she looks to not only defend her titles but also break the knockout record, live on TikTok.

There has been chatter on social media about Serrano facing someone she is heavily favored to beat in an attempt to break the knockout record she is currently tied for with International Boxing Hall of Famer Christy Martin. I would argue that when records have been broken by athletes in various sports, it wasn’t always against the best teams or on prime-time events. Often, they occurred on random weekdays, and the opposing team was usually less of a threat. In other words, knockouts/stoppages in boxing are hard, and if a record is set, the journey will outweigh the accomplishment itself.

On Wednesday, Serrano discussed the knockout record and what it means to fight on TikTok Live.
