Andres Cortes vs Eridson Garcia Headlines Zuffa Boxing 05 on April 5 At The Meta Apex in Las Vegas

Fresh off the cruiserweight title fight on Sunday, which crowned Jai Opetaia as the first Zuffa Boxing champion, the promotion announced its fifth show set for April 5 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, NV. Undefeated lightweight Andres Cortes (24-0, 13 KOs), who was formerly with Top Rank, will make his Zuffa Boxing debut against Erdison Garcia (23-1, 14 KOs).

Cortes fought twice in 2025 at a catchweight of 132 pounds, but since Zuffa only recognizes the eight weight classes, Cortes will now compete at lightweight. Garcia fought four times in 2025, with his last fight in December being on the all-Japanese Riyadh Season card. This will be a step up for both fighters, as neither has been a main event on a major platform until now.

Here is the press release from Zuffa Boxing with details on the co-main event and the third fight, which will be the opening bout of the main broadcast that night.

In the co-main event, former world champion Mark Magsayo (28-2, 18 KOs) of the Philippines will square off against Feargal McCrory (17-1, 9 KOs) of Ireland in a 10-round lightweight contest. Magsayo, known for his explosive power and aggressive style, faces a difficult challenge against the well-schooled southpaw McCrory with the winner well-positioned for a major opportunity in Zuffa Boxing’s lightweight division.

Opening the main card on Paramount+, Armenian power puncher Azat “Crazy A” Hovhannisyan (22-6, 17 KOs) will face Mexican veteran Eduardo Baez (25-7-2, 10 KOs) in a 10-round featherweight bout. Hovhannisyan brings his relentless pressure and knockout ability into the ring against Baez, a seasoned competitor who has shared the ring with several top contenders and established champions.

Fans can stream the full eight-fight Zuffa Boxing card with a Paramount+ subscription at no additional cost in the U.S.Latin AmericaBrazil, and Canada.
