Artur Beterbiev (19-0, 19 KOs) counts down the days before putting his WBC, WBO, and IBF light-heavyweight titles in line against Callum Smith (29-1, 21 KOs). Meanwhile, the long-anticipated Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) vs. Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) has kept fans at the edge of their seats. Beterbiev recently pitched in on the upcoming Fury vs Usyk bout and also predicted the potential winner of the fight.
It should be mentioned that he holds an amateur win against Usyk before his professional career. Beterbiev mentioned that he weighed 83 kg at the time of the fight and has never weighed over 90 kg during a fight.
“We had another fight too in the amateurs. There was a match [in Russia], I had fight with him there at 81kgs, and I beat him on the first day,” Beterbiev said in an interview with SkySports. “You know Oleksandr Usyk, he does his job very well. What I can say, good for him.”

He mentioned that while Usyk has showcased sensational performances throughout his professional career, he might have a hard time against Fury.
“There’s a big difference. I say who is preparing well, will win. Now too, I think Tyson Fury is going to win. But who’s preparing well, he’s going to win,” he said.
With Fury vs Usyk fast approaching, it certainly looks like Beterbiev has picked a side.

Beterbiev’s upcoming fight against Smith has also set the boxing community abuzz. With 19 fights and 19 knockouts under his belt, Beterbiev’s knockout power has been unmatched. However, Smith believes he has what it takes to become the new unified light heavyweight champion.
In an interview with SkySports, Smith revealed the factors that set him apart from Beterbiev’s other opponents.
“He’s a big puncher, but nothing in my career so far shows that my chin’s a bit suspect or anything like that. Touch wood, I’ve never been hit or hurt or dropped as a professional,” Smith said. “I’ve always been very confident defensively. I believe I’m pretty tidy, and I can stay quite tight. I know the dangers.”
Moreover, he added that he believes that he has the style that can beat Betebiev.
