Callum Walsh vs Tyler Denny Fight Results: Walsh Earns UD Victory As Co-Main on Zuffa Boxing 10 Card

In the co-main event of Saturday’s Zuffa Boxing 10 card from Dublin, Ireland, middleweight Callum Walsh remained undefeated, securing a unanimous decision over Tyler Denny (21-5-3, 1 KO) on Paramount+.

The judges saw this one 98-91 x2 and 96-90 for Walsh (17-0, 11 KOs), who won convincingly but did not do it in an entertaining way, as he is still caught between fighting styles. After the fight, Walsh said he thinks his orbital bone over his left eye broke during a clash of heads early in the fight.

In the opening round, Walsh wasted no time in throwing his right jab and following it up with a straight left. Denny could not make his way inside, and with ten seconds remaining, Walsh bent over as Denny hit him with a right hook that sent Walsh to one knee, counted as a knockdown. Walsh made it to the end of the round.

Seconds into the second round, Walsh countered Denny with a left hook that sent Denny to the canvas. He beat the count, but his right eye swelled almost instantly. Walsh would look for the stoppage but could not land enough combinations to get it.

Walsh began dedicating his offense to Denny’s body in the third round, landing one left hook after another. This began to suck the air out of Denny, who showed the effects of those body shots. Denny tried to keep Walsh off with his right jab but was met with a clean Walsh counterattack.

In the fourth, Walsh went back to boxing behind his right jab. As Denny dove in, attempting to land a big shot, Walsh circled around him while landing his right jab. It was a smart round for Walsh, but he appeared stuck in the middle of what type of fighter he wanted to be in this fight.

Rounds five through ten were uneventful, with Walsh jabbing and holding while mixing in a few uppercuts on the inside. The only moment that caused a bit of a stir with the crowd was in the eighth round, when Walsh was deducted a point for holding and Denny for rabbit punches. Aside from that, it was another Walsh victory, but there is still plenty to improve before talking about a world title fight.
