The women’s undisputed heavyweight championship will be on the line Sunday, February 22, when champion Claressa Shields defends her titles against Franchon Crews-Dezurn in a scheduled ten-round fight live on DAZN.
Shields (17-0, 3 KOs) returns to the Little Caesars Arena in her hometown of Detroit, MI, where she has become a big ticket seller, to face Crews-Dezurn (10-2, 2 KOs), whom she defeated by a four-round unanimous decision in 2016. Both women have had their share of success since then and will look to settle their rivalry this time in a fight longer than four rounds. Given both of their knockout ratios, a stoppage is not expected, so it will come down to who can win the majority of the rounds to come away with the victory. Shields is currently the huge betting favorite to come out victorious on Sunday.
