On Saturday night, at the Little Ceasars Arena in Detroit, MI, three-division women’s champion Claressa Shields (14-0, 2 KOs) looks to earn her fourth as she faces Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse (7-1, 2 KOs) for the vacant WBO light heavyweight and WBC heavyweight titles.
Shields will be returning from a 13-month layoff as she defeated Maricela Cornejo by unanimous decision. Shields is moving up two weight classes to seek another title and add to her resume. Lepage-Joanisse last fought in March and scored a split decision over Abril Vidal in Montreal.
