CM Punk, John Cena & Liv Morgan Make Appearances Christmas Day During NFL on Netflix

It’s Christmas 2024, and for the first time in history, the NFL is having live football games on Netflix during this huge holiday. Netflix does a great job cross-promoting while having its live events, so it’s no surprise that the WWE, which debuts its RAW show on January 6, made cameos in different ways at the beginning of both games.

Netflix kicked things off with a commercial that showed WWE legend John Cena as “Nicholas” (Santa Claus), and he was trying to figure out how to get to everyone’s home since they all don’t have roofs. His wife in the commercial made a suggestion, and later on, you can see Cena popping his head down from the chimney with a football in his hand. The commercial was a nice touch and got over well on social media.

CM Punk made a live cameo appearance on NFL Gameday before the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game. For the second game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, WWE women’s champion Liv Morgan made a live cameo on their Gameday telecast to help promote WWE on Netflix. Overall, it was a great marketing strategy for the WWE to have some of their top stars appear this Christmas day.

In other news, Netflix dropped a slate of WWE programming that will be featured on their platform in 2025 aside from the weekly, live RAW shows.
