Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) is coming for all the heavyweight belts.
‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) will soon face Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) for their highly anticipated rematch at Riyadh Season’s Reignited on December 21. Their first fight saw Usyk retaining all his belts while also winning Fury’s WBC Heavyweight title. Meanwhile, Dubois, who is currently the IBF heavyweight titleholder, is gearing up to face Joseph Parker in February and it looks like he has a future showdown in mind after his fight against Parker.
Dubois previously faced Usyk in Wroclaw in 2023, losing the fight via a 9th-round knockout. Talking to Sky Sports News, he revealed that he is planning a vengeance arc after his potential victory against Parker.
“I’m coming for their belts, definitely. The top guys, I want them. I want them all. I am just going to rip right through them,”he said. “If it’s Usyk, then it’ll be revenge. Or if it’s Fury, I’m ready to cover that territory as well. We’ll deal with it when we get there. It continues one fight at a time.”
While he wishes to face Usyk or Fury later in 2025, he is not taking his fight against Parker lightly. He mentioned that he understands that Parker has also put everything on the line and will be fighting just as hard. However, Dubois added that he wishes to become a really elite fighter and fight all the best fights. “It continues one fight at a time. Never overlook anyone. I’ve got some big fights lined up. Just keep coming through them, and then eventually, I’ll be right up there, undisputed. That’s my goal,” he said.
“That Destructive Fashion”
With his fight against Parker inching closer, Dubois is looking forward to becoming the division’s most explosive athlete. When asked if he wishes to be remembered as his era’s Mike Tyson, he had a rather interesting take on his future in the division.
“Do it in that sort of fashion? I’m going to be me but do it in that destructive fashion. When I land and land correctly, they usually do fall. But I’m not going just off punch power,” he said. “I’m pretty much the full package of what I’m going to be right about now. I can’t wait to get back in the mix.”
