Although there were weight issues with some of the undercard fighters, Danny Garcia (37-4, 21 KOs) and Daniel Gonzalez (22-4-1, 7 KOs) both came under the junior middleweight limit of 154 pounds.
The undercard snafu was sorted out to still carry on with the fights, but more importantly, Garcia and Gonzalez made it, as this looks to be the swan song for Garcia. Although Garcia is about a 6-1 betting favorite, Gonzalez is a solid veteran who could give Garcia some trouble if he isn’t sharp on Saturday night.
