Earlier today, David Benavidez (31-0, 25 KOs) and Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) headlined the media workout ahead of Saturday’s fight in Las Vegas, NV, which will be live on pay-per-view (PPV).
There weren’t any verbal jabs, and both fighters were more than cordial with each other. They both have one thing in mind, and that’s to give the fans a great fight. One thing that stood out about Ramirez was that he said he plans to retire soon, which is not what you want to hear if you are a fan of his, just days away from this big fight. Right now, Benavidez is a 6-1 betting favorite, so it’ll be interesting to see if that changes before fight night.
