The upcoming ‘Day of Reckoning’ showdown in Saudi Arabia will see heavyweight superstar Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) test his mettle against Swedish boxer Otto Wallin (26-1-1, 14 KOs). Meanwhile, the division’s very own ‘Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) will face Joseph Parker (33-3, 23 KOs) in the same card. As the duo prepares for their respective face-offs, Wilder reveals why Joshua lost the respect he once had.

Wilder shed light on their recent press conference in an interview with Instant Casino. He mentioned how a few fighters were disrespecting Joshua, especially Jarrell Miller (26-0-1, 22 KOs).
Things got heated at the press conference, where Miller accused Joshua of refusing to fight him. Moreover, he even called him a “p***y” during the verbal showdown.
“I can’t stand him one bit, but the told the truth about AJ,” Wilder said while talking about Miller’s statements. “It seemed like a lot of other guys were already coming at him. It seems like he doesn’t have the respect he once had.”
“A lot of the guys coming up disrespect him and say anything to him. And I think that’s kind of a frustrating thing for him, to go from one state of mind – everyone respects him – to now losing a few times, and everyone now thinks you’re very beatable and we can beat you, so we’re going to talk trash to you and get to you,” he added.
Wilder revealed that Joshua seemed nervous during their interactions due to the disrespect that he faced. However, he also mentioned that he is looking forward to a potential fight with Joshua, a fight which he called “the number one fight in the world.”
Will Wilder face Joshua?

The AJ vs Wilder showdown has been one of the most anticipated matchups in the division. While the duo has come close to fighting, they could never finalize a deal.
“Everywhere I go, that’s the main fight people ask me about. And one day soon, it will finally happen after all these years of trying over and over again,” Wilder said.
He mentioned that he hopes the fight will take place in due time but added the duo will first have to focus on getting Wallin and Parker out of the way
