We now have a venue for the WBC junior welterweight title fight between the champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) & Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs). In what is now a welcomed surprise, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, will host the mega on April 20. Earlier in the day, a press release was sent out, which marked a two-city press tour beginning on Tuesday in New York City and ending on Thursday in Los Angeles, CA.
Trust me when I say you don’t want to miss these press conferences

Although the Barclays Center hasn’t had a fight since the exclusive PBC contract expired and the new management took over, Golden Boy Promotions & DAZN were able to get boxing back in the Brooklyn venue, which has been missed. Oscar De La Hoya took to X earlier today to formally announce the Barclays Center as the venue for the title fight.
“@Realdevinhaney vs @RyanGarcia will be live on @daznboxing from @barclayscenter promoted by @goldenboyboxing 4/20/24.”

NYC will be red hot for this fight, and both Garcia and Haney are fighters known by the fans in the Tri-State area and within the strong hip-hop culture that the city maintains. This will have a heavy buzz on social media, and there isn’t much doubt that the venue will sell out.
