Edgar Berlanga And Richardson Hitchins Head To NYC For Zuffa Boxing 09 on July 26

They say there’s nothing like summer in New York, and this year that looks to be the case, as July is filled with big events like the Jay-Z concert at Yankee Stadium, FIFA World Cup games, Fanatics Fest, and Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden. Adding to that slate of events, Zuffa Boxing 09 will feature a double main event with hometown fighters Edgar Berlanga and Richardson Hitchins in separate bouts, held at Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 26.

Both fighters will make their Zuffa debuts, with Berlanga (23-2, 18 KOs) facing Steven Butler (38-5-1, 32 KOs) and Hitchins (20-0, 8 KOs) facing Ricardo Salas (24-2-2, 18 KOs). Berlanga’s fight will be contested at super middleweight, while Hitchins will move up to welterweight for his bout against Salas. The eight-fight card will stream live on Paramount+ in the U.S. and on Sky Sports in the U.K.

 Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 19 at 10am ET/7am PT via Ticketmaster.com. While this card isn’t in the big room at MSG, both fighters are popular enough in New York to fill the 5,000-plus capacity of the theater. Summer in New York, here we go.
