‘The Monster’ Edgar Berlanga (21-0, 16 KOs) makes his 2024 debut live on DAZN this weekend in Florida as he takes on the undefeated Padraig McCrory (18-0, 9 KOs). The super-middleweight bout has a lot on the line as the winner looks to potentially have a huge showdown with Jaime Munguia in the summer.

Berlanga last stepped into the ring in June against Jason Quigley, scoring a unanimous decision, marking his only fight in 2023. Berlanga looks to get more activity this year as he desperately needs a big win to get fans excited about him being in a big fight.

Although McCrory is undefeated, the quality of opponents hasn’t been there, and at 35 with only nine knockouts, he doesn’t appear to be a threat to Berlanga’s undefeated record. There have been crazier stories in boxing, so you never know if, on Saturday night, he puts it all together against The Monster.
