Heading into a busy fight weekend, Golden Boy Promotions and DAZN head to the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, NV, to host their latest fight card. Lightweight contender Floyd Schofield (17-0, 12 KOs) looks to remain undefeated in search of a big fight in 2025 as he faces Rene Tellez Giron (20-3, 13 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round bout.

Giron is heading into fight night with a three-fight win streak that began with his ninth-round TKO victory in December over Diego Chavez in Mexico. Since then, he earned a unanimous decision against George Acosta in February and a seventh-round TKO in June over Alex Dimaghani. Giron has shared the ring with Giovanni Cabrera, Karlos Balderas, and Michel Rivera so he is looking to use that experience to earn a victory against the young Schofield.

It was all set up for Schofield to face Most Valuable Promotions prospect Ashton Sylve on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson card in November until Sylve was knocked out cold in his last fight. Now Schofield gets to headline a card in Las Vegas against a veteran fighter in Giron.
