Former NXT Champ Ricky Saints Helps ROW Champ Danny Limelight Retain At ‘SubZero’

At Reality of Wrestling’s (ROW) SubZero event in Texas City, TX, this past weekend, NXT star Ricky Saints made a surprise appearance in the main event for the ROW championship. His appearance cost former champion Zilla Fatu the victory but helped the current champion Danny Limelight retain.

It was the last show of the year for ROW, and those who bought tickets to see SubZero live were surprised by a special appearance from Saints during the main event. The match featured the champion Limelight in a fatal four-way against former champion Zilla Fatu, Will Allday, and Ryan Davidson. In a clip captured by a fan, you can see Fatu was about to execute his finisher on Limelight, but he was then speared by a man wearing a black hoodie and mask.

Limelight quickly jumped on Fatu and secured the victory, keeping his title. After the match, the hooded mystery man removed his sweater and mask, revealing himself as the one and only former NXT world champion Ricky Saints. The crowd obviously erupted at this moment as he put over one of the indie scene’s top talents, Limelight.

The question surrounding all of this is whether it means Fatu will be heading to NXT next year or if it indicates some of the ROH talent will perform in an NXT ring, similar to what NXT has done with TNA recently. Only time will tell how this plays out, but 2026 looks to be a big year, not only for Fatu but also for Limelight, as he continues to carry the flag for the company owned by WWE legend Booker T.
