TYSON FURY VS OLEKSANDR USYK LIVE ROUND-BY-ROUND COVERAGE

Round 1:  Usyk started quickly with his right jab but Fury made the proper adjustments and was consistently throwing his left jab. Fury was also landing a stab jab to Usyk’s body along with a right hook to the body. Usyk landed a big overhand left to end the round.

Score: 10-9 Fury

Round 2: Usyk had relentless pressure on Fury and landed a big overhand left which got the attention of Fury. Fury did land some clean body shots on Usyk but it wasn’t enough to win the round. The Fury body shots are hard and one has to wonder how much of an effect it will have later in the fight.

Score: 10-9 Usyk

Round 3: Usyk kept the pressure on Fury throughout the round. Fury would land hard, short right uppercuts but wasn’t throwing a lot of punches. Usyk has been the aggressor so far.

Score: 10-9 Usyk

Round 4: Fury landed a huge left hook that stunned Usyk momentarily. Fury would then return with a right uppercut that landed and stunned Usyk once again. Fury had his best round of the fight. There is a slight cut over the right eye of Usyk.

Round 5: Fury dedicated his offense strictly to the body of Usyk which helped him win the round. It appeared to take some zap out of Usyk and Fury was landing at will more than what he was earlier in the fight. Usyk didn’t seem to have the same energy as earlier.

Round 6: Fury completely dominated the round. he landed a right uppercut that hurt Usyk badly. This made Usyk backtrack and avoid Fury at all costs. Fury would continue his body attack which is making his punches upstairs more available.

Round 7: Fury continued his dominance of the round with the right uppercut but towards the end of the round, Usyk landed a big overhand left and followed it with a four punch combination to potentially steal the round.

Score: 10-9 Usyk

Round 8: Usyk came out charging in the eighth round and landed a big overhand left. Then Usyk would land a right hook that buzzed Fury and had him walking backwards. Fury has mouse underneath his right eye and bleeding from the nose.

Score: 10-9 Usyk

Round 9: Fury landed a big left hook that hurt Fury badly. He was knocked out on his feet and the referee allowed it to keep going. Fury was saved by the bell but hurt badly.

Score: 10-8 Usyk

Round 10: Fury used most of the round to recover as Usyk kept the pressure with his 1-2 combinations down the middle. Fury would land some hard shots on the inside but Usyk controlled the round.

Score: 10-9 Usyk

Round 11: It was a mostly slow round but towards the end of it, Usyk landed a a hard overhand left which stunned Fury once again.

Score: 10-9 Usyk 

Round 12: Both had a big round but Fury edged it a little more towards the end of the round with his straight right hands.

Score: 10-9 Fury

TYSON FURY VS OLEKSANDR USYK FIGHT RESULTS

After a great fight with back-and-forth action, Oleksandr Usyk wins a split decision to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. The judges had this one 115-112 for Usyk, 114-113 for Fury & 114-113 for Usyk. Tyson Fury received his first loss in his career and will be looking forward to the rematch later this year.
