Golden Boy Promotions Partners With Swerve TV To Air Historic Fights, Original Programming & More

While negotiating their live media rights with DAZN, Golden Boy Promotions announced a multi-year partnership with the Los Angeles-based company Swerve TV.

The partnership will feature Golden Boy Promotions’ library streamed on Swerve TV weekly. Details were provided in a press release from Golden Boy Promotions.

“The agreement provides Swerve TV with access to Golden Boy’s unparalleled library of classic fights, featuring iconic bouts showcasing some of the sport’s most celebrated fighters, including Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Álvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Bernard Hopkins, and many more. The partnership will also include programming featuring Golden Boy’s current roster of standout stars, including Ryan Garcia and Vergil Ortiz Jr.

Beginning this month, Golden Boy content will air weekly on Swerve TV’s flagship combat sports channel, Swerve Combat, highlighted by a recurring Golden Boy Classics Fight Night every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET.”

Also included in this partnership are original content between Swerve TV and Golden Boy Promotions, live preliminary bouts for select events, original studio shows, “athlete-focused programming,” behind-the-scenes documentaries, and more.

Here are quotes from the CEO of Swerve TV and Oscar De La Hoya for Golden Boy Promotions:

This partnership further solidifies Swerve TV’s commitment to delivering one of the most diverse and dynamic portfolios of combat sports content,” said Steve Shannon, CEO of Swerve TV. “Golden Boy Promotions has a legacy of excellence in boxing, and together we’re creating innovative content that highlights the athletes, the culture, and the stories that drive the sport forward.”

Golden Boy has always been about elevating the sport of boxing and telling the stories behind the fighters,” said Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. “Partnering with Swerve TV allows us to bring our historic fights and new content to an even broader audience through an accessible, free platform. This collaboration gives fans a deeper connection to the sport—its history, its culture, and its future.”

Swerve Combat can be found on Roku, Fubo TV, LG, Amazon Prime Video, Google TV, DirecTV, Sling, TiVo, and Hisense VIDAA.

During a time when the WWE has been able to secure media deals for live content and library separately, Golden Boy Promotions has done the same with this recent move to have part of their portfolio on a platform separate from where they host their live content. It’ll be interesting to see what other deals Golden Boy Promotions create as they continue to negotiate an extension with DAZN.
