‘I’ll Be Good With The Buffering’: Triple H on The Debut of RAW on Netflix

As we approach the new year, WWE & Netflix are ramping up the marketing for the debut of their new deal on January 6. While things seem to be ready on all ends, given the epic crash that Netflix had on November 15 when they hosted over 60 million viewers for Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, WWE seems not to be worried about the potential of a buffering issue and actually welcome such a thing to occur.

The COO (Chief Content Officer) for WWE, Paul Levesque, also known as ‘Triple H,’ was recently on the Greg & Morning Buzz podcast, where he shared his thoughts about WWE’s RAW debut on Netflix. When asked specifically about the potential buffering issues that RAW could have on Netflix during their debut on January 6, Leveque said, “If our first-night buffers and they come and say it was 60-70 million households watching, I’ll be good with the buffering.”

While Levesque conducted that interview, Netflix posted a teaser trailer for WWE RAW on their platform, explaining what to expect beginning in January. Clips of stars like The Rock, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Rhea Ripley were featured along with up & coming stars like Jade Cargill, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton and Trick Williams. The product feels as though it will be slightly different from what we are all used to, and hopefully, they won’t be muting foul language from the crowd or the talent as they do on USA and Peacock.
