Jake Paul Is Certain That He Can Be A ‘Dangerous MMA Fighter’

YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) was gearing up to step inside the ring with the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ Mike Tyson (50-6-2, 44 KOs). However, with his fight against Tyson postponed, the ‘Problem Child’ is all set to face MMA fighter Mike Perry (0-1). While Paul will be fighting him in the boxing ring, he remains confident that he can take even Perry on inside the Octagon.

This is not Paul’s first tango with MMA fighters. Talking to DAZN Boxing, he revealed he was open to taking on Perry in an MMA fight after ‘beating’ him in boxing.

“I’m down, when I beat Mike Perry in boxing, f*ck it, we can run it in MMA. I want an MMA fight. The (PFL) Smart Cage is literally right there. Once I start MMA, my wrestling background is going to come out, and I think I’ll be a very dangerous MMA fighter, as well. So, Mike Perry can get it – my hands are trisexual,” he said.

In the very same clip, Perry refuted Paul’s claims of being competent in MMA. He even had a counteroffer, inviting him to a bare-knuckle boxing match. “Cap, cap! Why not bare knuckle? Why not boxing bare-knuckle? I’ll take Jake’s back. Jiu-jitsu is not something that just, wrestling and Jiu-jitsu, that’s not just something that you keep in your back pocket. I don’t know, I saw Logan Paul and Paulo Costa messing around, but like how serious is that,” he said.

PFL CEO Pete Murray had previously said that Paul’s MMA debut will likely take place in 2025.

“You Are Fools”

It certainly looks like Paul has the support of his older brother, Logan Paul, ahead of his fight against Perry. In an Instagram story, the older Paul expressed confidence in his brother’s prowess as a boxer. “I see a lot of people saying, ‘Mike’s the toughest guy on the planet, this is Jake’s biggest challenge yet.’  Yo, you’re fools. You are fools if you think Mike Perry stands a chance against Jake Paul,” he said.

“When Mike Perry tries to use his head against my brother’s cannon of a right hand, I promise you, it’s going to be devastating for him.”
