Things have gotten “personal” between Mike Tyson (50-6-2, 44 KOs) and Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs).
The ‘Problem Child’ is all set to step into the ring for a highly controversial yet equally anticipated showdown against the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. With barely hours remaining for the fight, it sure looks like tempers have certainly started flaring between the duo, with the fighters almost coming to blows during their weigh-ins.
As both fighters approached each other for a stare-down, Paul walked towards Tyson, imitating a gorilla crawl. This seemed to have (potentially) rubbed the boxing legend the wrong way, as he wasted no time swinging his right hand and striking Paul across the face. Security and organizers quickly separated both fighters and dissipated the fiasco. Ariel Helwani, who was the host, tried to quell the tempers by asking Tyson about the emotions going through his mind.
Tyson, on the other hand, was in no mood for conversation. He blurted, “Talking’s over,” before walking away with his team amid booing from the crowd. Helwani then turned his attention towards Paul, who seemed unfazed by the sudden turn of events.
“I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry; he’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap buddy. But tomorrow, you’re getting knocked the f*ck out. I’m f*cking him up. I’m f*cking him up. He hits like a b*tch. It’s personal now, it’s personal now. He must die!!!” he said, making no attempt to hide his displeasure. The message was short yet clear: Paul is out for blood.
“I Want That Killer”

While Paul prepares his villain arc, he also wants Tyson to bring in the ruthless killer instinct that he had during his prime. In fact, to add a few more embers to the raging fires, he has even vowed not to let the fight go the distance.
“I fear no man. I want him to be that old savage Mike. He says he’s going to kill me. I’m ready. I want that killer,” Paul told reporters. “I want the hardest match possible Friday night, and I want there to be no excuses from everyone at home when I knock him out.”
