Jake Paul Reveals His ‘Plan’ With Anthony Joshua for 2026

Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) has major plans for 2026.

There is no denying that ‘The Problem Child’ has been making some of the most iconic fights in boxing. Paul recently got the boxing community talking with a highly anticipated yet controversial showdown against ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet,’ Mike Tyson. And it looks like there might be yet another addition to this list of showdowns: Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs).

Talking to reporters, Paul revealed that Joshua had responded to his callout and hinted at a potential grand showdown in 2026.

“We’re going to plan that for 2026. I talked to Anthony on the phone. He called me up and said, ‘I saw you call me out’ and said, ‘Let’s run it. Let’s make it happen,’” he said. Joshua’s last fight was in September 2024, when he unsuccessfully fought Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title.

Meanwhile, there have been talks about a fight between Paul and (surprisingly) Gervonta Davis. This matchup was rather confusing, to say the least, mostly owing to the significant size difference between the duo. Paul urged that the fight was “scheduled” before it fell through.

“It was highly talked about and in negotiations and almost ready to make happen. But he now has to do his rematch with Lamont and get that W; then we can run it back. But me and Gervonta were scheduled to fight for sure,” he said.

While the Davis fight might be entangled in the planning stage, Paul does not find it a reason to worry about. In the same interview, he revealed that he might have just a few explosive plans in the works.

“We have an announcement next week. I’m not going to leak anything. We’ve had these fights pulled twice now at the one-yard line. First Canelo Alvarez, and now Gervonta. I’m just not going to jinx it and say anything,” he said.
