Jutta Leerdam fears for her boyfriend’s safety ahead of the Mike Tyson (50-6-2, 44 KOs) showdown.
In a few days, ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) will test his mettle against the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Many have their doubts about the matchup and its potential outcome, in particular, the noticeable age gap between the duo. Leerdam, on the other hand, once expressed her concerns about the prospect of Paul facing the legend who gained notoriety as one of the hardest punchers in the sport of boxing.
Leerdam recently drew a lot of fans’ attention after posting a wholesome set of photos showcasing her weekend with Paul. The duo was seen sharing a warm camping trip with friends ahead of Paul’s fight. While all certainly seemed well in the photos, Leerdam had previously opened up about her fears of the Paul vs Tyson showdown.
“I think you’re going to win but he’s the competitor that is the most scary to me. For me, if I look at him, he’s scary, he’s super strong, and I’ve seen, like, videos of him. Of course, he’s a little older now, but if you’ve ever been able to do that your body remembers it,” she said while talking at the BS with Jake Paul podcast.
Leerdam further mentioned that Tyson has trained in the sport all his life, while Paul barely has five years of training. She added that at almost 60, Tyson has become accustomed to the power behind boxers’ punches. “He’s had so many years of training. Jake didn’t even train five years ago. He didn’t do anything, he was partying, it’s not even comparable. He is 57, but he is strong, and his body remembers how to fight, Jake has been doing this only a few years,” she said.
“It’s A Fantastic Event”
Meanwhile, the upcoming showdown is undoubtedly the talk of the pugilistic town. While many have questioned the matchup, it sure seems to have garnered the attention of Tyson Fury, who was seen praising the event. ‘The Gypsy King’ had a message for all the critics and haters.
“I think it’s a fantastic event. Anyone who doesn’t think it’s a fantastic event is jealous. Mainly, people who ain’t getting paid for it will be jealous because it’s not them,” he said.“Obviously, I’m not involved in it. I’m not getting paid for it, but I can see a massive event on a large scale when I see it, and I can appreciate that.”
