John Cena vs Dominik Mysterio Results: Liv Morgan Returns To Help ‘Dirty Dom’ Win Back The IC Title

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — After an insane crowd reception for John Cena at Petco Park, Dominik Mysterio wins back the Intercontinental Title by defeating Cena with help from Liv Morgan at WWE Survivor Series: WARGAMES.

Cena started off wanting to have a test of strength but quickly turned it into a side headlock. It wasn’t long before Raquel Rodriguez injected herself into the match and tripped up Cena. Mysterio quickly took control of the match as he antagonized the crowd at Petco. Mysterio did not let up, but then Cena turned it around, and just as he was gaining momentum, Mysterio rolled out of the ring.

On the outside, Cena and Mysterio continued going back and forth, but Mysterio had the upper hand each time. Then, in a weird turn of events, Mysterio was slammed by Cena and hurt his left shoulder. Meanwhile, in the ring, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez teamed up to beat on Cena. After Cena was hurt, Mysterio came back and frog splashed Cena. Mysterio did not get the three count, but in a typical heel move, he faked the injury to gain the upper hand.

Cena came back and performed his flying shoulder tackle and then the “you can’t see me” move, but Mysterio was able to get out of it. Mysterio removed his boot to execute a 619, but afterwards, when he went for the pin, Cena kicked out. When Cena attempted the flying shoulder block again, he knocked out the referee. The rest of the Judgment Day came to help Mysterio, but Cena was able to fend them off.

All of a sudden, Liv Morgan’s music hits, and Petco Park goes wild. The question was, who would she help? She went straight for Mysterio, hits him, and then jumps on Cena. But when the camera zooms in on Morgan, she turns her smile into a mean look and kicks Cena in the groin. Cena then lands on the ropes, and Mysterio executes a 619 followed by a frog splash. At that point, is when the referee comes in and counts 1-2-3, giving Mysterio the victory and making him the Intercontinental Champion for the second time this year.
