One of the most significant fights within the super flyweight division will take place on Saturday at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ. Matchroom Boxing & DAZN host the WBC title fight between the champion Juan Francisco Estrada (44-3, 28 KOs) and former two-division champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez (19-0, 12 KOs). This matchup will also determine the king of the division of the Ring Magazine title that Estrada holds will be on the line.

Estrada will return to the ring after more than an 18-month layoff to fight Rodriguez. Estrada’s last fight was a classic against Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez, giving him the 2-1 advantage in their heavily discussed trilogy. After becoming a unified champion at flyweight, Rodriguez returns to the super flyweight division to capture the title he vacated after defeating Carlos Cuadras in February 2022. Rodriguez was last in the ring in December when he stopped Sunny Edwards in the ninth round of their fight to become a unified champion. Rodriguez decided to move back up to 115 in hopes of establishing himself as a king in the weight class. Can Rodriguez defeat a future hall of famer in Estrada?
