On Monday, February 24, Top Rank returns to the land of the rising sun as they host a WBC world bantamweight title fight from the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The undefeated champion Junto Nakatani (29-0, 22 KOs) will defend his title against undefeated contender David Cuellar (28-0, 18 KOs) on ESPN+ in the States.
Nakatani will make his 2025 debut after winning the WBC title and defending it twice last year. There has been a lot of talk about a fight against Naoya Inoue at some point this year but in order to make those talks get further along, Nakatani needs to continue his dominance. Cuellar is a 23-year-old fighter from Queretaro, MX, who has never fought outside his native country and will look to shock the world with a win over Nakatani.
