Kazuto Ioka vs Fernando Martinez: Live Stream, Betting Odds & Fight Card

On Sunday night here in the States, but Monday morning in Japan, there will be a huge super flyweight unification bout at the Kokugikan in Toyko. WBA champion Kazuto Ioka (31-2-1, 16 KOs) will face IBF champion and undefeated fighter Fernando Martinez (16-0, 9 KOs) in a matchup that will have plenty of eyes on it after the classic this past Saturday between Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez and Juan Francisco Estrada.

This will be the first fight of the year for Ioka, who stepped into the ring twice in 2023. Ioka earned a unanimous decision over Joshua Franco in their rematch in June and stopped Josber Perez later that year in December in the seventh round of their fight. Ioka is now 35 and looks to add to his legacy by becoming a unified champion and potentially setting up a path to undisputed.

Standing in his way is Martinez, who hasn’t been as active, but his upset win over Jerwin Ancajas in February allowed him to capture the IBF crown. Since then, he fought in June 2023, earning an 11th-round TKO over Jade Bornea. Does Martinez have the skills to defeat a veteran champion like Ioka?
