It’s fight week for WBC junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs), who is facing Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs), and Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) took a different approach to kick things off.
Instead of an “arrival” segment, PBC opted for a show called Opening Bell hosted by Hip-Hop legend Cam’ron, veteran boxing journalist Sean Zittel, and Treasure ‘Stat Baby’ Wilson, who co-hosts It Is What It Is alongside Cam’ron and Mase. The show also included commentary from WBA welterweight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero and Sean Porter. The highlight was a first look at Thurman and Fundora, who are set to face off in a fight that’s flying a bit under the radar. It’s easy to overlook Thurman because of age and inactivity, but his experience in these kinds of fights shouldn’t be underestimated, making the bout on Saturday night particularly intriguing.

Here are some quotes from both Fundora and Thurman from the show.
“Saturday is not just another night, it’s a historic night,” said Thurman. “Is it my redemption? Or is it the beginning of Fundora’s legacy? That’s what people wanna see.
“We’ve seen what happens to Sebastian’s legs when he got rocked. Can ‘One Time’ do it to Sebastian one more time? I have confidence and I believe in myself. It’s gonna be about the traps I set. How does he avoid all that?”
“I’m a lot for everybody in this division and everybody in this sport,” said Fundora. “Stepping in the ring with me is a problem for anybody.
“I’m evolving and I’m maturing. We’re getting stronger and wiser and bringing that inside the ring. I plan on winning this Saturday and adding another great name to my resume.”
