Japanese boxing is at a fever pitch, and Naoya Inoue isn’t the only champion from the “Land of the Rising Sun” who is making waves.
Kenshiro Teraji will be putting his WBA and WBC junior flyweight titles at stake against Carlos Canizales. Teraji captured the WBC gold back in March 2022 when he avenged his lone pro loss against Masamichi Yabuki. He went on to defeat Hiroto Kyoguchi to become the WBA titleholder.
Canizales is a former secondary WBA junior flyweight champion. He had two successful title defenses before losing the gold to Esteban Bermudez via sixth-round KO back in 2021. Canizales has won four in a row since suffering the only defeat of his pro boxing career.
The action will be held inside EDION Arena Osaka in Osaka, Japan.
