Keyshawn Davis Certain That Gervonta Davis Doesn’t Have The “B*lls” To Send Him A Contract

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) is apparently too scared to send a contract to Keyshawn Davis (12-0-1, 8 KOs).

‘The Businessman’ Keyshawn Davis is set to face Denys Berinchyk (19-0, 9 KOs) for his WBO lightweight title in a Valentine’s Day showdown in New York. With barely a day remaining for the fight, it looks like he has his eyes on Tank Davis as his next potential opponent. However, he feels that Tank might be a tad bit worried to call him out for a fight.

Talking to FightHub TV, Davis made a rather wild prediction about his upcoming fight and opened up about his plans for his next fight.

“After I knock Berinchyk out in the first round, I would love to fight the ‘face of boxing’ in the 135-lb division. I would love to fight ‘light skin’ (Davis). You know who it is,” he said. “I just don’t think he’s got the balls to fight me. Our characters matchup.” He mentioned that Tank Davis is aware of his skillset inside the ring and might potentially be worried. Moreover, he added that people equally know him like they know Davis.

“So, I really don’t think he has the balls to send me a contract to fight me. Tank, I don’t care if he gets in the ring or not. I’m creating my own lane as ‘The Businessman’. I was 11-0, fighting in my hometown. I did a million gate. That’s just the first time fighting in my crib,” he said. “People know me. That didn’t come from fighting big names.”

While Davis would like to fight him, he isn’t pushing for the fight. In fact, according to him, Tank is “unpredictable,” and so is his prospect of fighting him.

“A Little More Personal”

With the Davis vs. Berinchyk fight inching closer, it looks like the beef has gone up a notch. Davis recently received a questionable package in his hotel room. The package of bananas and watermelon from Berinchyk and his team did not sit well with Davis, who deemed the action racially offensive. This issue further bled into their faceoff, where the WBO lightweight champ issued a warning to his opponent.

“I want to address the fact that this guy came to America to give me bananas and a watermelon with a note on it,” said Davis. “It’s unprofessional, and I feel like it’s racist. And you just made this fight a little more personal. This man brought a box of bananas and a watermelon to America to bring to my room. I took it as racist. So, I got something for you.”

Top Rank sent out the following message after the press conference to ensure fans understood their position concerning racially driven acts of antagonism.
