Top Rank & ESPN+ host a Friday night card in Norfolk, VA, as it is a homecoming for one of the promotion’s young prospects. Lightweight Keyshawn Davis (11-0, 7 KOs) will look to continue his undefeated streak as he faces Gustavo Lemos (29-1, 19 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round bout on ESPN+.
This will be Davis’ third fight in 2024, which began with a sixth-round stoppage of Jose Pedraza, and in July, earning a unanimous decision victory over Miguel Madueno. Davis has been publicly advocating for fights against all of the big names, but if he wants those conversations to go further than just a social media post, he needs to look impressive against Lemos.
Lemos has had only fight this year, and that was a unanimous decision loss to Richardson Hitchins in April, which served as his first career loss. That fight was at super lightweight, but this one is scheduled for lightweight, so the question will be whether the weight cut will be too much for Lemos to overcome and look good on Friday night. He will have his hands full with Davis but has an opportunity to pull an upset.
