On Saturday night in Nottingham, U.K., almost 2 ½ years after their October 2023 fight, Leigh Wood and Josh Warrington will once again face off live on DAZN.
In their first fight, Wood (28-4, 17 KOs) managed to stop Warrington (32-4-1, 8 KOs) in the seventh round, but the rivalry remained unresolved. After going their separate ways, they now have the opportunity to settle things in the ring.
Since the Warrington fight in 2023, Wood has only fought once, a ninth-round TKO loss to Anthony Cacace. Warrington hasn’t been much more active either; he also lost to Cacace but managed to bounce back with a unanimous decision victory over Asad Asif Khan in April of last year. With both fighters being inactive over the past few years, the betting odds are close but still favoring Wood, who earned the stoppage victory the first time around. Who will come out victorious in the rematch?
