Boxing is returning on Friday night, March 20, in Reno, NV, as Let’s Get It On Promotions hosts a fight card at the Silver Legacy Resort & Casino. This event is the promotions’ first in Reno since 2019 and will feature fighters from Eddy Reynoso’s No Boxing, No Life management stable.
The Lane brothers (Terry and Tommy) are behind Let’s Get It On Promotions, which was founded by their father and Hall of Fame referee Mills Lane in 2000. After hosting numerous shows there before COVID, Terry Lane told FightsATW that it’s finally time to resume shows in Reno.
“I’ve done about 30-35 shows in Northern Nevada,” said Lane. “This is the first time since pre-COVID that we’ve come back to do it. We’ve been busy with the (Zhilei) Zhang stuff, so it was only now that we could put on a card. We are ‘turning the lights back on’ regarding fight cards in Reno.”
With things turning back on, what are the expectations for the rest of the year regarding the number of events hosted by Let’s Get It On Promotions? “We plan to do one or two more before the end of the year,” Lane told FightsATW. “The goal is to do three or four events each year. Reno is a small market, but it has a strong boxing market; you can’t do one a month. You have to spread it out. There’s a lot of boxing history in this town. It’s also where I was born and raised.”
Unfortunately for fight fans, that won’t be in the Reno area, the card will not stream due to a last-minute fallout. Lane said they will get it produced and maybe release it somewhere later on.
Before letting Lane go, I had to ask about the latest with his heavyweight Zhilei Zhang, who was rumored to fight some of the biggest names, but for one reason or another, none of those fights materialized. Lane told FightsATW, “We are just waiting for the right opportunity. We are hoping to have some news on him soon.”
Below is the rest of the press release for Friday’s card in Reno, in case you’re in the area and want to catch some boxing on March 20.
Reno’s Ken “The Biggest Lil Bomber” Davis (15-2-1) will be defending his WBC USA lightweight title against Orlando Zepeda (13-4) of Mexico.

Avalos’ cousin and decorated amateur boxer, Miguel ‘Tito’ Elizondo, also from the state capital, will be making his highly anticipated professional debut. Reno’s Joshua Nelson will be lacing up the gloves for the first time as pro as well in a four-round lightweight bout.
Standout Cuban heavyweight Yoandy Toirac (3-0) will face Zedric Stephenson (5-5) in a six-round bout. Rounding out the card will be undefeated light heavyweight prospect Yahir Trejo (7-0) vs. Frankie Solomon (5-4-1) in a six-round bout.
