Liv Morgan To Rhea Ripley: ‘Everything You Loved Is Mine’

Monday Night RAW was live from Austin, TX, where they announced that a crowd of 13,000 were in attendance. They were mostly hot for most of the night, and the show had some good highs and a few lows here and there.

Rhea Ripley Opens Up RAW

It was appropriate for Rhea Ripley to open up RAW as “LivDom” was trending on social media all day after Liv Morgan posted a photo of her and Dominik Mysterio. Ripley was in pure babyface mode as she smiled and showed her teeth. Then, after grabbing the mic, she quickly addressed the elephant in the room, which was Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal.

“I’ve had a lot of time to think about exactly what happened at SummerSlam. I’ve relived it in my head every single day since then, and I felt every single emotion that you can possibly feel in a situation like this,” said Ripley, as she wanted those in attendance to feel her pain. Then after going through the emotions, she turned serious and said, “I’m just really pissed the hell off,” which got a pop from the crowd in Austin. “Dominik, you stabbed me in the back, and the thing is, you’ve probably heard this before, but it just wasn’t deep enough,” said Ripley, with the crowd going wild putting together what Ripley was saying without saying it. As we get closer to WWE RAW on Netflix, these types of promos will gradually get worked in so that there isn’t that big of a change in programming in January.

Once Rhea started to get into Liv Morgan, she popped up in the crowd, with Dominik drawing a ton of heel heat. Morgan passed it off to Dominik, and he said, “Rhea, you know why I left you for Liv. I’m a man and deserve to be treated like one. You tried to change me instead of letting me be me. You know how embarrassing it was to be bossing me around? A grown man calling you mami? Now I have a grown woman calling me daddy.”

After Liv Morgan spoke on how she stole the Judgement Day, Damien Priest showed up behind Dominik and began to get payback on him, dragging him from the concessions stand to the ring. Carlito would come to try to help Dominik, but Priest would closeline him out of the ring. The opening promo was solid and added to what should be an interesting Blood Feud PLE.

Damien Priest vs. Carlito

Priest dominated the match as it was clearly made for Priest to look unstoppable after losing the title to Gunther at SummerSlam. A few minutes into the match, Priest delivers his South of Heaven finisher and pins Carlito but then gets attacked by JD and the rest of the Judgement Day. Then Rhea Ripley’s music hit, and she cleared the ring as the Judgement Day wanted no part of Rhea. JD would try to sneak attack the two, but Priest caught him and delivered a South of Heaven finisher on him as well.

Bo Dallas’ Promo

Sitting in front of a TV, Bo Dallas talks about how heavy things were for him in Baltimore, MD, where it all began. Dallas said, “He was there” meaning Bray Wyatt’s spirit. The words “The work must continue. Other doors shall open” were repeated from the TV. Then, Dallas would keep saying, “My life for you” and in the end, the TV would shut off, and the segment ended in typical Wyatt Sicks fashion.

The New Day Is Seeing A New Day?

Unfortunately, the time for the New Day as a tag team looks to be coming to an end soon. Odyssey Jones, who made a huge impact last week on RAW, was seen backstage with Kofi Kingston, who seemed geeked up. That would be all good if Xavier Woods were too, but his energy certainly didn’t match Kofi’s, and the start of the New Day split began just like that. Odyssey Jones faced Vincent Winey, but this was just a smash match for Jones. More importantly, after the match, Kofi was ecstatic over Jones’ win, while Xavier Woods seemed annoyed more than anything else. The Authors of Pain came out and started to pick at the new trio and slammed home the idea that Kofi is using Jones to replace Woods. Although Woods defended the claims, he seemed slightly off, and the heel turn felt right around the corner.

Randy Orton & Gunther’s Promo Was Meh, Until…

Randy Orton cuts a promo where he mentions becoming a 15-time world champion, and that’s when Gunther’s music hit and he appeared. Gunther would make it to the ring and confront Orton. The promo was surrounded by the anticipation of their match at Bash in Berlin PLE. While Gunther tried to mock Orton’s resume, Orton came back and said that he has not only won in wrestling, but he is also winning in life. The promo was okay, but it went from that to good when Drew McIntyre came out to spoil things. Gunther being distracted, allowed Orton to give him an RKO out of nowhere.

McIntyre would take off his shirt, and then, out of nowhere, came CM Punk to attack him. McIntyre was able to recover, took his belt off, and tried to whip Punk but missed. Punk got his hands on the belt and began to whip McIntyre into the crowd as McIntyre quickly ran off.

The Bronson Reed Train Is Picking Up Steam

It was announced earlier that the Miz would be facing Bronson Reed. When the match occurred later on RAW, Reed demolished the Miz and hit the tsunami finisher. Once he pinned Miz and the match was over, Reed tried to land another tsunami on Miz, but R-Truth pushed him out of the way and took the splash. Reed would do it five more times on Truth, leaving him motionless in the ring. The crowd seems to be really reacting well to Reed and his destructive ways, which can only spell good things for the WWE in the future.

The Main Event: Bron Breakker vs. Sami Zayn (2 out of 3 Falls match)

Bron Breakker took immediate control of the match, but Zayn was able to break the momentum and begin to control the match himself. Zayn showed why he is a trusted worker within the company. He put Breakker over and carried him throughout the match, as Breakker had a few missteps. Zayn got the first fall, while the second fall belonged to Breakker, who needed to execute two spears to get the three count. After some solid spots, Breakker spears Zayn in midair and covers him for the 1,2,3. Breakker ended the show but the match didn’t have a main event feel to it. The only question now is, who’s next (couldn’t resist the Goldberg line)?
