Most Valuable Promotions Launches ‘MVPW’, Signs Deal With ESPN & Announces First Fight Card

For those who may not be fans of Jake Paul, one thing is certain: he has the team and vision to grow even more, as demonstrated by this latest move from Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

On Friday, MVP announced that they have launched “MVPW” and a multi-year deal (through 2028) with ESPN, which will be the streaming platform home for the new brand. It’s no secret that Paul and MVP have been stockpiling women boxers for the last few years, and those moves all led to this deal with ESPN. The “worldwide leader in sports” recently announced that on Sundays, it will exclusively feature women’s sporting events, and this latest announcement will see MVP fill one of those program slots with its women’s boxing events.

Also, this announcement included three fight cards. The inaugural event on ESPN is scheduled for April 5 in London, where Caroline Debois will face Terri Harper. Followed by an April 17 card featuring Alycia Baumgardner defending her unified super featherweight titles against Bo Mi Re Shin at the Theater Madison Square Garden in NYC. The third fight card is set for May 30, with Stephanie Han facing Holly Holm in Texas.

Here are some comments from Jake Paul and MVP’s co-founder Nakisa Bidarian:

Since inception MVP has strategically focused on creating an umbrella brand as the global home for women’s boxing, with the best fighters in the world, that engages existing boxing fans and attracts untapped fan demographics that embrace women’s sport, and today, we proudly enter a new era,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. ”Over the past five years, we have invested heavily in female athletes, delivered historic and record-breaking events, and proven that these athletes belong on the biggest stages in the sport. Partnering with ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports, to launch MVPW across its platforms is a historic milestone, and aligning with the world’s most iconic venue, Madison Square Garden, as we introduce the brand in the U.S. reinforces the scale and ambition behind what we are building.

“MVPW is the first boxing brand that truly features the best fighting the best on a consistent basis, and it begins in the US with one of the sport’s most electrifying champions, Alycia Baumgardner, facing top contender Bo Mi Re Shin on Friday, April 17 at Madison Square Garden, alongside unified champion Shadasia Green in the co-main event. Then on Saturday, May 30, Stephanie Han and Holly Holm will settle their rivalry in El Paso. All live on ESPN.”

MVP keeps cranking out deals, and this latest one will ensure women’s boxing gets its shine through 2028.
