Top Rank begins their year with a fight live from the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue (28-0, 25 KOs) will defend his titles against late replacement Ye Joon Kim (21-2-2, 13 KOs) on ESPN+ here in the States. This fight was originally supposed to have WBO mandatory challenger Sam Goodman (19-0, 8 KOs); however, he was cut over his left eye again and forced to pull out of the fight after delaying it due to the same reason the first time. Inoue wants to fight four times this year and it all begins with Friday’s fight against Kim, which, on paper and according to the oddsmakers, doesn’t appear to be too much of a threat for Inoue.
