The most anticipated heavyweight battle in British boxing history is set for December 11, when Tyson Fury faces Anthony Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) live on Netflix for the vacant WBA heavyweight title. Before fight night, Netflix announced on Thursday that it will premiere a new documentary, TYSON FURY, on November 27.

The 38-year-old Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) has a life in and out of the ring that plays out like a Hollywood film. At times, it’s hard to believe it’s real, but time and again, Fury somehow makes the impossible look possible. Fury is no stranger to the Netflix cameras, as his At Home With The Furys will soon premiere its third season. Along with that, Fury has fought a few times on the streaming platform, making him a household name there.

The following is an excerpt from the press release that discusses what to expect from the documentary that premieres on Netflix:

“Offering an unusually vulnerable perspective on a figure whose life has often played out in public, TYSON FURY explores the personal cost of success, the relationships that have sustained him and the challenges that remain beyond the ring. Directed by Lucy Wilcox, the film draws on remarkable access to Tyson and his family to reveal a more personal side of the heavyweight champion.”

Lucy Wilcox directs the documentary, and George Waldrum executive produces it, with a runtime of 90 minutes.

Fury has been an open book for the most part over the years, so it’ll be interesting to see what insight is offered about the man who calls himself “The Gypsy King” as he goes into the biggest fight of his career on December 11.
