Queensberry Promotions is headed to Liverpool, U.K., this week to host a featherweight title fight live from the Echo Arena. WBA champion Nick Ball will defend his title against Brandon Figueroa as the featherweight division continues to get more exciting each week.
The 28-year-old undefeated champion Ball (23-0-1, 13 KOs) from Liverpool was last seen earning a unanimous decision over Sam Goodman in August. Ball now faces the tall challenge (literally by 7 inches) of defending against Figueroa (26-2-1, 19 KOs), who earned a much-debated unanimous decision over Joet Gonzalez in July.
Ball is the betting favorite at the start of fight week, so it’ll be interesting to see if those odds shift as we get closer to fight night.
