Nikita Tszyu Scores A First Round TKO Over Lulzim Ismaili In Australia (Video)

Junior middleweight Lulzim Ismaili saw all that he needed after one round and decided not to continue, awarding Nikita Tszyu the first-round TKO victory on Wednesday night in Australia.

Tszyu (11-0, 9 KOs) was relentless with his pressure and was landing the straight left hand whenever he wanted. One of those left hands sent Ismaili crashing down for the only knockdown of the fight. Ismaili (12-1, 7 KOs) would beat the count but was met with more straight lefts, forcing him to do something dangerous, which was to turn his back to Tszyu. Ismaili would straighten himself out seconds later, avoiding any blows to the back of the head, but Tszyu was not giving up on his pressure.

At the end of the round, the referee walked over and asked Ismaili if he was okay, and that’s when the fight was stopped, as he did not want to continue. Reports from Australia were that Ismaili had an injured rib and could not continue. Regardless, Ismaili wasn’t going to win that fight as their talents were on two different levels. Hopefully, No Limit Boxing brings Tszyu back for another fight before the end of the year.

Here are the rest of the results as per the No Limit Boxing Press release sent out shortly after the event.

The co-main event featured another highlight when Michael Zerafa dismantled Mikey Dahlman with a first-round TKO in a middleweight bout. Brock Jarvis also continued his comeback with a fourth-round TKO over Sam Beck in a 71kg catchweight clash.
