Pedro Taduran vs Gustavo Perez Alvarez: Live Stream, Betting Odds & Fight Card

Manny Pacquiao Promotions returns with a Friday night fight card on April 3, live from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, CA, streaming on ESPN Knockout. IBF minimumweight champion Pedro Taduran (19-4-1, 13 KOs) defends his title against Gustavo Perez Alvarez (16-1, 5 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round bout.

Taduran hasn’t been very active lately, with only his fourth fight in 2 ½ years. With major unification fights on the horizon, Taduran needs to impress against Alvarez to boost interest in those fights. Since this is Taduran’s first fight in the U.S., will the pressure to perform affect the champion, or will he rise to the occasion?

Alvarez hasn’t been very active either, as he fought only once last year, and now he has the opportunity of a lifetime fighting for a world title, with even bigger fights waiting in the wings. This will be Alvarez’s first 12-round fight, so there will be questions about his stamina if the fight goes past ten rounds. Will it be the moment that the fighter known as “Smiley” wins his first world title, or will he come up short?
