Matchroom Boxing returns to Las Vegas, NV, on Saturday night as they host a super lightweight special attraction. Undefeated contender Richardson Hitchins (17-0, 7 KOs) faces Gustavo Lemos (29-0, 19 KOs) in a 12-round bout. With the 140-pound division on fire, Hitchins can position himself for a title shot if he looks impressive on Saturday night.
Hitchins fought twice last year and were both dominant, decision victories against John Bauza and Jose Zepeda. Hitchins has been flying under the radar but is nearing his opportunity at one of the big names as long as he continues to look great in his fights. This fight against Lemos, who is undefeated, will determine if Hitchins is ready for the next level.

Lemos hasn’t been active, as he fought only once in 2022 and once in 2023. The credible name on his resume was the 2022 fight against Lee Selby, who he stopped in five rounds. With this being his U.S. debut, can Lemos show everyone here in the States that he is a legitimate contender?
