Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes Joins The Cast of ‘Street Fighter’ As A New Trailer Premieres At Game Awards

At Thursday’s Game Awards in Los Angeles, CA, the cast of the upcoming Street Fighter, which is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2026, surprised everyone with their appearance, including visuals and a brand-new teaser trailer.

WWE superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes appeared because they are part of the cast. Over the past year, Rhodes spent time in Australia filming his part of the movie, and once he finished and returned to WWE, Reigns then went to Australia for his role. From the teaser trailer, this already seems to be significantly better than the 1994 film Street Fighter starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Here is the synopsis of the film as per the press release that went out on Thursday night.

“Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”

The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai and produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Jason Momoa, Takayuki Nakayama and Stefan Makhoul. Here is a full list of the cast:
