Ryan Garcia and Terence Crawford Trade Fiery Insults on Social Media

The verbal sparring on social media between Ryan Garcia and Terence Crawford continued on Friday, with the insults raised to a new level.

There have always been minor jabs on various platforms from both fighters, but things escalated on X a little over a month ago after Garcia appeared on WWE Monday Night RAW and was involved in a storyline that led him to hit another wrestler with a guitar.

Shortly after, Crawford jumped on X and posted, “@RyanGarcia, you might get knocked out you better be training and taking this fight serious.” It was a post that Garcia’s September 12 opponent, Conor Benn, quote-tweeted with a “100.” Ryan would later post on his account, “As long as things are right with God. PUBLIC opinions don’t matter and that is your shield.”

Earlier today, Crawford posted on X in reaction to some of Garcia’s recent interviews where he called out the former undisputed super middleweight champion. “lol I just be waiting to see people energy when I see them. I am getting told old for all that. Well see yall in Vegas next week.” Then followed it with another post saying, “Mf really think I would come back and fight a coke head yall stupid as sh*t. What really be wrong with people! Ima keep talking because I can and not none of yall gone do sh*t but listen like you post to.”

That’s the one that appeared to have triggered Garcia, who replied by saying, “You might be the actual crackhead – once again I can smell desperate from you. You have to result in lying on me to make a point you are a cornball and a liar. Look around you bud you got money now but you are still a little lame f*ck bc you got a shitty a$s attitude. No one gives a f*ck about you bc you don’t give a f*ck about anyone but yourself WEIRDO. Go back to living under a rock you are annoying and a arrogant WHORE.”

It didn’t stop there, as Garcia added: “I really got the Kendrick Lamar lookalike mad.”

The back-and-forth on X between Garcia and Crawford indirectly kicked off Garcia-Benn fight week a few days earlier, as their September 12 fight in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Mexican Independence Day weekend looks to be a big event on the strip. Now fans will begin talking about next week’s fight. All that is left is for Benn to jump into the conversation. These are the times we’re in with the sport.
