Ryan Garcia Attends WWE RAW in L.A., Joins The Judgment Day By Attacking Joe Hendry With A Guitar

If you needed to add a little more attention to the September 12 fight between WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia (25-2, 20 KOs) and his opponent Conor Benn (25-1, 14 KOs), well, that was just done on tonight’s WWE RAW.

Garcia was in attendance as the show streamed live from Los Angeles, California, on Netflix. He received the customary cameo shot, sitting in the front row with his wife and daughter. Nothing else was made of it until later in the show, when WWE stars Joe Hendry and Danhausen were in the ring singing “You are cursed,” Danhausen’s theme song. Garcia danced around the ring to the song with Danhausen, and smaller versions of himself were in the ring with Hendry.

Then Garcia picked up a guitar as if he were playing it, and when Hendry got down from the middle ropes, he whacked him with it, prompting Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonough from the Judgment Day to do the rest. In the end, Garcia, Dominik, and JD were in the middle of the ring with their hands up.

This was an excellent crossover moment for Garcia, who is always looking for ways to expand his brand. WWE RAW on Netflix is a major show streamed worldwide, so appearing on it only further grew his brand, especially ahead of his upcoming fight with Benn.

That type of promotion will only make the upcoming fight even bigger, as will the constant promotion of the event on WWE shows.
