Ryan Garcia Focusing on ‘Whooping Devin Haney’s A*s’ As Beef Intensifies

Ryan Garcia (24-1-1, 20 KOs) is looking forward to beating Devin Haney (31-0-1, 15 KOs) in the event of a potential rematch.

‘KingRy’ is currently set to face Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) at Times Square in New York on May 2. However, it looks like the fight that he is actually looking forward to is the potential rematch against Haney. The recent promotional for Garcia vs. Romero saw him engaged in a war of words with Haney.

During the event, Garcia lashed out at Haney while talking about his ‘alleged’ PED usage.

I’m really focused on just whooping Devin Haney’s a*s again. That’s all I’m really worried about. Not even to redeem myself, just to cement that bullsh*t f*cking Ostarine bullsh*t, which you probably did set up,” he said. Garcia further touted a conspiracy theory that Haney’s brother was aware of the apparent PED usage before anybody else. Moreover, he accused Team Haney of corruption while adding that they “couldn’t take the loss.”

In fact, Garcia even highlighted that PED usage does not equate to all the shots that he landed on Haney. “That Ostarine don’t help you block a left hook, bro. You got hit like a thousand times. You got dribbled off the canvas. You know nothing was taken. You know damn well. Do not do drugs? He had that in his back pocket the whole time,” he said.

“The Rematch Can Still Happen”

Meanwhile, Haney is set to face Jose Ramirez on the very same day as Garcia’s showdown against Romero. While confident about Ramirez’s performance, his trainer, Robert Garcia, mentioned that Haney vs. Garcia 2 might still be a possibility even in the event of his loss to Ramirez.

“The rematch can still happen. It’s a fight that brought in so much controversy that even if Haney were to lose, there’s no reason why the rematch can’t happen,” he said. “It’s not like it can’t happen just because he [Haney] loses another fight. I think that’s a fight that can still happen. So, if Jose beats Haney, he can still fight Ryan, and it’ll still be a big fight.”
