Ryan Garcia Vows to ‘Knock Out’ Sean O’Malley’s ‘Rainbow Hair’

Boxing’s crown prince of controversy, Ryan Garcia (24-1-1, 20 KOs), is back to drawing bad blood in the world of combat sports. Following his suspension from professional boxing after the Devin Haney (31-0-1, 15 KOs) fight, Garcia seems to have turned his sights to MMA. Talking at the recent RIZIN 3 showdown in the Saitama Super Centre, he sent a rather unhinged message to Sean O’Malley (18-1-1, 12 KOs) and Conor McGregor (22-6, 19 KOs).

“I would fight, what’s his name? Sean O’Malley? ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley? Conor McGregor in bare-knuckle. But yet, it’s a very big possibility. I know how to wrestle; I know how to do a lot of things that people don’t know. So yeah, I would do it,”he said. “I would knock out Suga Sean O’Malley’s rainbow hair off his head.”

RIZIN 3 series saw boxing legend Manny Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs) face K-1 Super Lightweight Champion Rukiya Anpo (0-0-1) in an exhibition match. The event also saw Garcia entering the ring to issue a challenge to both Pacquiao and Anpo.

“I don’t even know who Anpo is, but I mention his name because he definitely was trying to knock out Manny Pacquiao, and that kinda pissed me off, so now I want to knock him out. I would love to fight Manny Pacquiao, in a real fight, though, 12 rounds. I wouldn’t do an exhibition at all. I would want to do a real fight, old lion versus young lion,” he said. While ‘KingRy’ has issued all these challenges in what can be called an undeniable Garcia-esque fiasco. It is a waiting game to see if these (if any) fights will actually reach fruition.

“I Really Became A Man”

Garcia also turns 26 today; the previous has been tumultuous for him (and that’s putting it lightly). In a tweet, Garcia opened up about how the transition from 25 to 26 helped him grow as a fighter and a man.

“I really became a Man, and it’s so much more than fighting had everything to do with my commitment to discovering truth. And being fully in it with no remorse no matter how ugly it was or how beautiful it was. From defeating Haney and the odds. To tackling matters of darkness and exposing them for their sick acts,” he said.
